Tibet Adventure Trek: Lhasa to Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarovar tour commences from Kathmandu with an hour & 10 minutes Trans-Himalayan flight to Gonggar airport (Tibet). Our Tibetan guide meets you at the airport and escorts you to the main city (Lhasa) which is 98 km away from the airport. In Lhasa, we make two days guided sightseeing tour for two days that covers almost all the highlighted places situated inside Lhasa. After that we start our journey to Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarovar via Gynatse, Shigatse and Sakya Monastery. As usual, “Lhasa to Mt. Kailash Tour” consists of a 3 days circumambulation around holy Mt. Kailash. The tour ends at Lhasa after sightseeing Tsedang and surroundings.

Short Description of Jokhang Temple: -
The Jokhang is located on Barkho Square in Lhasa. It was founded during the reign of King Songsten Gampo to celebrate his marriage with Chinese Tang Dynasty princess Wencheng, who was a Buddhist. It is more commonly known today as the Jokhang, which means the 'House of the Buddha'. Jokhang temple is also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 01 Drive from Kathmandu to Nyalam
We will transfer you to Nepal-Tibet boarder from Kathmndu.Our Tibet tour guide and driver will meet you at Friendship Bridge (the border between China and Nepal) and overnight at hotel

Day 05 Manasarovar Lake to Darchen
Manasarovar Lake is one of three most famous sacred lakes in Tibet. Most of people who pilgrimage Mountain Kailash will firstly come here and clean his own body, it is said that, in this way he will be favored by God

Day 06-08 Trekking around the Kailash
Mountain Kailash also called Holy Mountain in Tibet. It is the most sacred mountain in Tibetan. The top of the mountain was covered by snow all through the year, “Snow Mountain” is pronounced “Dishi” in Sanskri, so people believe the “big snowed mountain” mentioned in the Buddhist bible is this “Gangdishi Mountain”. It has been a holy land of Buddhism for over one thousand years, which is attracting large numbers of pilgrims from domestic and overseas.

Day 09 Drive to Paryang

Day 11 Saga to Lhatse

Day 12 Lhatse to Tingri
Do preparation for walking to Everest Base Camp, hire yak man and yaks there today and overnight at hotel

Day 13 Tingri to Lunja Village overnight at hotel

Day 14 Lunja to Drokpa before Lama La Pass

Day 15 Cross Lama La and trek to Drakchu River

Day 16 Drakchu to Everest Base Camp via Rongbuk monastery

Day 17 Rongbuk to Tingri overnight at hotel

Day 18 Tingri to Shigatse
Sakya monastery and Tashilumpo monastery. Shigatse is the second largest city in Tibet; Tashilumpo monastery is Shigatse’s traditional and native monastery. It is one of the six famous monasteries in Tibet and Shigatse's foremost attraction, also is the residence of Panchen Lama, There you’ll find the tallest bronze Buddha statue in the world and overnight at hotel

Day 19 Shigatse to Gyangtse
Shalu monastery Palkhor monastery. Shalu monastery is the mixture architecture of Han style and Tibetan style.Pelkhor monastery is famous for the Kumbu pagoda with thousands of Buddha statues, also famous for its mixture of different sects of Tibet Buddhism and overnight at hotel

Day 20 Gyangtse to Lhasa
Yamdrok Lake, Yamdrok Lake is one of the three most sacred lakes in Tibet.

Day 21 Sightseeing in Lhasa
Potala, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar. Potala palace, the highest palace in the world! At the top the palace called golden roof, you can have a bird’s-eye view of the whole of Lhasa. In the distance are undulating mountain ranges, the beautiful Lhasa River, tracts of fields, tree-shaded villages and the glistening of Jokhang Temple. Jokhang Temple is the first built during the period of Sontsan Gambo in the 7th century. You’ll find that many Pilgrims pray before the monastery. Then sightseeing or shopping at Bakhor Bazaar near Jokhang Temple.

Day 22 Sightseeing in Lhasa
Tibet Museum, Sera Monastery and Local family visit Tibet Museum and family visiting with local people, you’ll feel the real Tibetan lifestyle and the culture. Sera Monastery, there you can enjoy the exciting lection debating of Lama. Dinner will be Tibetan flavor with dancing and singing

Day 23 Drive from Lhasa to Drigung monastery
Drigung Monastery is famous for its Sky-burial. Tibetans believe that, more important than the body, is the spirit of the deceased. Following death, the body should not be touched for three days, except possibly at the crown of the head, through which the consciousness, or namshe, exits. Lamas guide the spirit in a series of prayers that last for seven weeks, as the person makes their way through the bardo-intermediate states that precede rebirth.

Day 24 Drigung monastery to Reting monastery
Tidrum hot spring Tidrum hot spring is on the way from Reting Monastery to Drigung Monastery, its good quality attracts many people, although the condition there is not so good. Reting Monastery is not only famous for the Reting living Buddha but also famous for the Protection area around the monastery, especial the huge cypress forest around the monastery, the cypresses are more than 500 years old and they strangely just exist around the monastery and overnight at hotel.

Day 25 Reting monastery to Dangxung

Day 26 Dangxung to Lhasa
Namtso Lake. Namtso Lake is also one of the three most sacred lakes in Tibet, after you enjoy the Namtso Lake, drive to Lhasa

Day 27 Lhasa free day for your exploring Lhasa city

Day 28 Lhasa to Tsedang
Samye monastery. Tsedang is the cradle land of Tibetan. Visit Samye Monastery crossing Yurlong Tsangpu River on ferry. Samye Monastery which is built in 779,is the first Buddhist monastery erected in Tibet. It’s famous not only for its statues of Buddha, but also for its role in the evolution of many Buddhist doctrines and its status as the historical home of numerous eminent monks. The magnificent and unique Central Hall is three-story high. The first floor is of the Tibetan style and the second the Han style and the third the Indian style.

Day 29 Sightseeing in Tsedang area
Yumbulankhang and Trundruk monastery. Yongbulangkang is the first palace in Tibet. Trundruk monastery was built in the seventh century and has been repaired in various historical periods. A legend says after Songtsan Bambo established its capital in Lhasa, he Came and stayed here together with Princess Wen Cheng who planted the willow trees around the monastery. The monastery houses a precious Thangka picture of a Buddha inlaid with pearls and gems.
